KICKS (KI Community Kabbalat Shabbat) is a warm community of spiritually-engaged Jews that strives to create soulful, energetic Friday night t’filah and nourishing, inclusive communal activities. We cultivate a traditional-egalitarian davening atmosphere that is committed to powerful prayer experience, within the broader communal fabric of Jewish learning and socializing in Brookline and Boston. We welcome new faces and seasoned ones, and encourage everyone to join us in taking responsibility for the group experience.
KICKS Winter Schedule
As sunset moves earlier and earlier this winter, the KICKS starting time will shift:
- Mincha will start just before sunset each week. See the table below for the exact start times.
- Starting on November 12, Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv will start at 5:15pm, and continue at that time through the winter. On March 18, 2011, we’ll return to our summer start time of 6:15pm. The early (5:15pm) starting weeks are highlighted like this in the table below
- Each week when Mincha is early, we’ll have a special activity between Mincha and Kabbalat Shabbat — check back here as the schedule is updated to see what’s coming up!
