Centennial Gala

dscf85672017 is Congregation Kehillath Israel’s Centennial year. The year-long Centennial celebration, “Mar’eh Derekh: Celebrating in Time & Space,” will lead us month-by-month throughout our Centennial year, highlighted by lectures, discussions, and social events reecting the intellectual intensity and religious liveliness of our great institution.

The Centennial Gala Weekend, from February 10th – 12th, will serve to honor our past, highlight our present, and showcase our future as part of a vibrant, multi-generational campus. The weekend’s events include:

Feb. 10: Special Friday night service in honor of our past and our future: a service dedicated to alumni & children. Following services, KI will present the Love of Judaism Prize to Anita Diamant, author and founder of the progressive Mayyim Hayyim Mikvah. Feb. 11: Shabbat morning services with Kiddush and learning opportunities

Feb. 11: Centennial Gala at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston, featuring Rabbi Daniel Gordis.

The Gala will honor the past presidents who have made our first century a success, and celebrate all who will lead us into the future.  Keynote speaker: Rabbi Daniel Gordis, author of Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn, 2016 KI Library of Gratitude selection.
