This program gives children the opportunity to play, develop, learn and have fun in a relaxed preschool environment. Our engaging and intimate summer camp program is for children who will be between the ages of 2 years, 9 months and 5 years, 9 months by June 30. The activities include outdoor play on our playground and in the beautiful KI garden, art projects, and play opportunities at our various interest centers. The summer experience gives the younger and older children a chance to learn and play together. Activities are designed to meet the needs of a range of ages. We also utilize our socio-dramatic play area with the large loft.
Water play is a favorite activity in our summer program. Water play includes water tables, bubble tables, and buckets of water for making streams and puddles in the sand. On hot days the children can choose to be misted by a teacher with a hose.
Our program runs from 9 AM to 2 PM, five days a week. There are two 2-week sessions (June 25 – July 20, 2012). Minimal enrollment is two weeks with additional single weeks available. Children are asked to bring their own dairy or vegetarian lunches. The school supplies snacks. Our highly qualified teachers staff the summer program, all whom and are supervised by the director of the nursery school.
Enrollment begins in January, with priority enrollment given to currently enrolled families. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited, so we recommend that you try to make your plans as soon as possible.
