Informal Education

Informal education happens when you’re with a community of friends, celebrating holidays with your peers, having fun and connecting with an open, vibrant Jewish community.

At KI, we believe strongly in the importance of informal education, especially for teenagers and young adults.  Too often, bar mitzvah study is seen as a ‘graduation’ instead of  the beginning of Jewish life, and teens are adrift until they return to shul with their young families, years later.

Ki supports two programs to increase the chances of informal learning in this age group:  KIUSY for teens, and Charles River Beit Midrash for 20-30-s.
