Giving at KI
Kehillath Israel relies upon the generosity of our community to maintain a vibrant campus life and to ensure the needs of our congregation. We offer a variety of ways to support KI’s mission and activities, and we welcome donations at all levels.
You may donate securely online here.

More information on specific tzedakah opportunities is listed below.
Annual Campaign. Dues pay for less than half of KI’s annual budgetary needs. We rely upon the Annual Campaign for 10-15% of our annual operating budget, including maintenance and operation of our building, salaries for the rabbinate and staff, and ongoing programming. We strive to have all of our members participate, both to show support for our campus life and to demonstrate the strength of our synagogue community.
KI Next. KI is building for our future. We have spent the last decade planning a major renovation of our campus, and that vision is now becoming reality with the expansion of our building and the addition of Mishkan Tefila, Washington Square Minyan, Kol Rinah, and Minyan Shaleym to the campus. Gifts may be spread over five years. More information about KI Next is available here.
Syrian Refugee Fund. KI has committed to supporting a Syrian refugee family for a year as it settles in Massachusetts, including house-hold set-up, rent and utilities. Donations to the Syrian Refugee Fund will provide direct support for the family. You may specify donations to the Syrian Refugee Fund here.
KI Activities. KI offers the opportunity to sponsor the activities that are most meaningful to each donor, including KI’s religious school (KIRS), nursery school (KINS), the Kiddush fund and the Rabinovitz Prayer Book Fund. All donations designated for an activity are used for that specific purpose. You may specify the use of donations here.
Planned Giving. Planned giving supports future generations at KI and provides a foundation for the growth of our community over time. We welcome bequests, donations from charitable trusts and donor-advised funds, and donations of other assets. To discuss planned giving, please contact David Williams, President of Kehillath Israel, at email@example.com.
