Public Transportation:

We are accessible by two MBTA train lines and a bus. For detailed schedules, visit the MBTA website.

• Green “C” Line (Cleveland Circle): Take the green “C” line to the Coolidge Corner stop (intersection of Beacon and Harvard Streets). Cross Beacon Street in the direction of Dunkin Donuts and CVS. Walk down Harvard Street.. We are a few blocks down on the left, just past the second traffic light.
• Green “B” Line (Boston College): Take the green “B” line to the intersection of Harvard Ave and Commonwealth Ave in Allston. Walk across Comm. Ave. toward Pizzaria Uno Restaurant. Continue down Harvard Street. (You can also pick up the 66 bus at this point, see below) KI is past the 2nd light, on the right.
• 66 bus (towards Nubian Sq.): The stop nearest KI is Harvard @ Coolidge St., in front of Aborn Hardware. Walk towards the Butcherie and Israel Book Shop, and KI is just a couple of blocks down on the right.
• 66 bus (towards Harvard): The stop nearest KI is Harvard @ Stedman St. Exit the bus here, cross Harvard Street and then Williams St., and you will be in front of our building.

By Car:

See directions below from downtown Boston, the south, the northwest, the north, the west and via public transportation. Meter parking is easily accessible and here are details to pay via phone.

From downtown Boston: Travel west on Commonwealth Avenue to Kenmore Square, past bus station on the left. At traffic light, take middle fork, which is Beacon Street. Continue on Beacon Street to the fifth traffic light (Coolidge Corner). Turn right at Coolidge Corner onto Harvard Street and continue to the second traffic light. Kehillath Israel is just past the second traffic light, on the left.

From southern points: Take Route 128 North (I-95 North) to Exit 20A (Route 9 East). Take Route 9 East to Brookline. In 5.8 miles, turn left at traffic light onto Cypress Street (you will see the Volkswagen-Audi car dealer ahead on the right). Continue on Cypress Street. In .6 miles, turn left at the third traffic light onto Harvard St. Continue on Harvard Street for .7 miles, crossing over Beacon Street at Coolidge Corner. Kehillath Israel is on the left just past the second traffic light.

From northern/western points: Take Route 128 South (I-95 South) to Exit 20A (Route 9 East). Take Route 9 East to Brookline. In 5.8 miles, turn left at traffic light onto Cypress Street (you will see the Volkswagen-Audi car dealer ahead on the right). Continue on Cypress Street. In .6 miles, turn left at the third traffic light onto Harvard St. Continue on Harvard Street for .7 miles, crossing over Beacon Street at Coolidge Corner. Kehillath Israel is on the left just past the second traffic light.

From northern points: Cross over the Tobin Bridge into Boston. Take Storrow Drive West to the Mass Pike exit (the first right hand exit). Turn left off the exit ramp, onto Cambridge Street. Follow Cambridge Street to Harvard Ave. (You will see the Sports Depot restaurant on your right). Turn left onto Harvard Ave. Cross over Brighton Ave. and then Commonwealth Ave. Harvard Ave becomes Harvard St. After the second traffic light you will see Kehillath Israel 1 block ahead on your right.

From the West (MASS PIKE)Take the Pike to exit 18 (left hand exit). After the tolls, the road splits, stay to the left (Sign says Allston/Brighton). The ramp will merge onto Cambridge Street. Follow Cambridge Street to Harvard Ave. (You will see the Sports Depot restaurant on your right). Turn left onto Harvard Ave. Cross over Brighton Ave. and then Commonwealth Ave. Harvard Ave becomes Harvard St. After the second traffic light you will see Kehillath Israel 1 block ahead on your right.

Parking: There are two public parking lots within two blocks of the synagogue building: a large lot on Centre Street and a smaller lot on Fuller Street. There is also metered parking along Harvard Street. Fuller Street is to the right of the building as you look at KI from Harvard Street. Go to Fuller St., make a left and then an immediate left into the lot. If you go to the end of the lot, there is a sidewalk which goes to KI.
