Remembering the Past — Honoring the Memories of Loved Ones

Kiddush Sponsorship

There’s a special kind of joy in sharing a meal with your community after davening, and sponsoring Kiddush is one of the most meaningful ways to mark a simcha or honor a loved one’s memory. Sponsor or co-sponsor Kiddush in celebration of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, an Aufruf, a birthday, an anniversary, or any milestone worth celebrating with your KI family — or in memory of a loved one on their yahrzeit, so that their name is lifted up in blessing as our community gathers together.

Have you ever considered sponsoring Friday night Kiddush? Oneg Shabbat wouldn’t be the same without the challah, wine, and grape juice — or the community gathered around to enjoy them together. Sponsoring this moment is a special, meaningful way to take part and give back.

On Saturday afternoons, you can sponsor a portion of the Kiddush lunch, such as the challah or bagels, making it easy to take part at whatever level feels right for you.

Holiday Celebrations

Support holiday events so that our traditions are celebrated with beauty and depth throughout the year, including the joyful mitzvah of mishloach manot on Purim. This beloved custom invites us to send gifts of food, at least two ready-to-eat items, to friends, neighbors, and members of our community, spreading joy and strengthening the bonds of friendship at the heart of the holiday. Your support helps us prepare and share mishloach manot across our congregation and beyond, making sure the spirit of Purim reaches everyone, from lifelong members to those who might otherwise spend the holiday alone.

  •       Young Adults: Contribute to programs that bring together our growing community of young adults, singles, couples, and families alike.
  •       Teens and KI Religious School: Help us build on the momentum of programs that engage our teens and religious school students, including takeover events and teen participation in the Purim megillah reading.
