KI Religious School
Welcome to Kehillath Israel Religious School (KIRS)
KIRS provides students with a safe space and supportive opportunities to grow and learn Jewishly.
The mission of KIRS is to inspire joy, a sense of wonder, and a love of Jewish learning in our students. We seek to touch the heart of every student by establishing a community of love and belonging, and a place where students look forward to being a part of their Jewish learning.
Hours of Operation
The KIRS calendar follows the Brookline Public Schools calendar. If Brookline Public Schools cancels school due to the weather, KIRS is also canceled. In addition, KIRS is also not in session during major Jewish holidays.
Our school meets on the following days:
- Kindergarten/First Grade (K-1) : Thursday afternoons, 3:00-5:00 pm
- Second/Third Grade (2-3) and Fourth/Fifth Grade (4- 5) class: Monday and Thursday afternoons from 3- 5 pm
- Sixth/Seventh Grade (6/7): Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 pm.
All classes meet monthly for a KIRS Community Shabbat either on Friday night or Saturday morning. Registered families will receive information about which weekends KIRS Shabbats will be taking place.
