Join us for Kabbalat Shabbat dinner on Friday, March 20 at 7:15PM to hear from Harvard Kennedy School Israeli graduate student Oren Adar, a candidate in the mid-career MPA program under the auspices of the Wolk Israel Graduate Fellowship. The topic will be “Jerusalem: An On the Ground Perspective” and the talk will be moderated by KI member Ruth Kaplan.
Oren is the former executive director of a Jerusalem neighborhood community council and a leading Jerusalem activist. He will highlight the unique demographic landscapes and challenges of the city’s neighborhoods and discuss how community networks can reduce tensions and build internal cohesion.
