This Fall, starting October 25 at 7:30PM, we’re excited to launch a brand new Adult Bnei Mitzvah Program! This immersive, year of learning with Rabbi Hamilton and Rabbi EBC will offer a dual track featuring an adult bnei mitzvah celebration for those who wish next year.
This course is for those who:
- want to celebrate becoming an Adult Bar or Bat Mitzvah in the Spring of 2022
- want to learn about Jewish being and belonging through the lives of some of our more recent heroes
- want to share in a fresh, novel way to root these stories in traditional sources, turning them into your own personal resources that will re-invigorate your historic coordinates
- want a deeper dive into our beliefs and behaviors
- seek to learn synagogue skills – a skills component (learning to lead services, read Torah/Haftorah) will be introduced later this Spring
It has been an improbable century in our people’s history. We’ll organize our learning around significant figures from eight settings in which we’ve lived over the past century:
Early Zionism, Holocaust, Israel’s Founding, Mizrachi Jewry, 1967 Influence, Russian Jewry, American Jewry, and 21st century wonders and worries
