The KI Inclusion Committee has created a Sensory Calming Room as a community resource for those with sensory regulation issues.
The room is intended to be a place to take a break from tefila (prayer), and services on Shabbat mornings and holidays. It is designed specifically for people with sensory challenges or disabilities and/or their companion or anyone who requires a quiet space. This room is accessible for those with mobility issues and it contains quiet play toys, books, puzzles, and comfortable chairs.
Parents are requested to chaperone their children in this space.
Children should not be left alone in this room.
There is live audio feed from the KI main sanctuary to help people continue to be a part of the service. Please be respectful of the games, toys, and books in the space and kindly clean-up after yourself so we can maintain a welcoming space.
